Appeared
for Sale on E-Bay with the following description:
This
is an auction for an ultra nice, and rare right hand drive, classic
Bentley convertible. This car spent about 30 years in the U.S. and
was recently acquired out of a fine Las Vegas collection. I sent
the car to the UK, so it has European and U.S. papers – a "dual
citizenship," you might say. The car was first shipped to Holland,
where it was mechanically completely gone through and inspected.
It truly drives and handles like a new vehicle! When I got this
car from Las Vegas, Nevada, I was told (and the title confirms this),
that it has 15,000 original miles. This is exactly true. I know
that it’s hard to believe, but if you look at the condition of this
beautiful, regal classic, you can see that the astonishingly low
mileage is quite accurate This car has the original build sheet
with it, and has always been this original burgundy over tan color.
The car is located in a storage facility in London at the moment.
It is difficult to show the vehicle, since I am here in the U.S.,
but I will absolutely guarantee this car as described. If it isn’t
exactly what you expect and have been promised, you do not have
to buy it. This really is a rare opportunity. She has a V8 engine,
of course; automatic, air, power options. This is just a lovely,
elegant Bentley SII Drophead. Very unusual find.
(It
did not sell above reserve, but reached a bid of $73,188.)
